This week review is about a song that named “Wake Me Up “and was produced by Avicii. This song was released in 2013 on YouTube and this music genre is country music, course music, folktronica, dance/electronic. This song got so much hyped that it gets 2.2 billion views on YouTube! Also, this song was played repeatedly back in the day by a lot of people. Avicii, or Tim Bergling, was a Swedish DJ, remixer, and music producer. He began posting his remixes on electronic music forums when he was just 16 years old, and this led to his first record deal. He rose to prominence in 2011 with his single "Levels". His debut studio album, True, blended electronic music with elements of multiple genres and received generally positive reviews. It peaked in the top 10 in more than 15 countries and topped international charts; the lead single, "Wake Me Up", topped most music markets in Europe and reached four in the United States. This song has received 4 awards which is Echo Award Song of The Year 2014, Billboard Music Award for Top Dance/Electronic Song 2014, iHeartRadio Music Award, Teen Choice Award for Choice Electronic/Dance Song. Forsythe music video basically talk about how some certain of people try to be accepted by their surrounding and try to not look weird in other eye’s. It also tell that people always misjudged you when you’re different from them. The music video tells us that you didn’t have to live in a community that didn’t accept you just because you different from the other. The favorite part from the music video when the siblings asking themselves why the people around him doesn’t like them and the big sister decide to find a place where they can live happily. At the end, they moved to the place where they can smile together, and they can adapt with the surrounding. After that, talking about the lyrics. The lyrics tell how someone about to find them back after their lost themselves like a kite without a string. The song is also about someone who try to show the world who they are but do not have a guide from someone. This song has been enjoyed by many people over the years, and it has helped many people get back on their feet after experiencing difficult times. When we heard that Avicii had committed suicide, it was a terrible news. But, his music still lives on, and it will continue to be enjoyed by people for many years to come.
